We value church membership at Grace Community Church. Those who have trusted Christ as Savior are spiritually united with Christ through faith (Romans 6:3, 4, 1 Corinthians 12:13). As believers, we are now members of the global spiritual body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:25 says, "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."
Membership provides the opportunity for us to make a commitment to the local church body, and for Grace Community Church to invest in our spiritual journey to help us grow in the character of Christ. The more committed we are to the church, the more committed we are to Christ, who is the head of the church. Ephesians 1:22, 23 states, "And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."
We hold a membership class three times a year; during the fall, spring and summer. It's a 2 1/2 hour seminar held on a Sunday after our second service. It is led by the pastors and elders and lets us share the history, beliefs, purpose and ways to serve in the church. We provide lunch for all and childcare and nursery for children during the class. To find out when the next membership class is being held, please contact the office.
