Missions

One of our core values at Grace Community Church is reaching others for Christ. That means investing in the lives of others locally and globally so that we may share Christ with them and lead them to saving faith in him.

After Jesus' resurrection from the dead, he gathered his disciples and gave them the great commission in Matthew 28:18-20, "Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

For global missions we currently support twenty-one missionaries and their families who are serving the Lord throughout the world. We provide "Missionary Passports" to help us support our missionaries on the field through prayer, encouragement and practical needs. We also feature regular "Missionary Spotlights" in our Sunday morning services for our missionaries when they are in town to strengthen our ties with them. If you would like to be involved in the missions team as they communicate and co-labor with our missionaries, please contact the Missions Team Lead Don King at , 949- 472-8351.

The local mission expression of Grace Community Church is through Grace Works. Grace Works is our ministry to needy individuals, families and children in our area. Several times during the year such as at Easter and Christmas, Grace Works provides food and gifts for these families through partnering with the local schools. We also provide emergency food boxes for the hungry and baby care baskets for new mothers. Grace Works has given us the on-going opportunity to share the love of Christ in our community in a very tangible way. If you are interested in helping in Grace Works, please call the Grace Works Lead Carol Bruton at , 949-951- 2685.

Throughout the year we also host connecting events to serve the larger community and share the message of Jesus Christ. Some of these connecting events are marriage and family enrichment conferences, an Easter Egg hunt, Vacation Bible School, a fall festival called "Harvoween" on October 31st and a Live Christmas Nativity in December to tell the story of the birth of Christ and why he came to earth. It is our desire that each of these connecting events serves to impact the Saddleback Valley with the gospel of Jesus through his body the church.
